Overview
Developing garment collection for 'Tantuja'- a West Bengal govt. enterprise (as part of my Graduation Project) : redefining the company's apparel category.
Focusing on newer silhouettes which are a fresh take on sophistication for the wearer.
Fusion of traditional craftsmanship of handwoven jamdani with contemporary design elements to appeal to the modern young woman.

Design Inspiration
Monsoon holds immense significance for Bengal, serving as a lifeline for crops, relief from summer heat, and a cultural touchstone. However in present times, Bengal's monsoon has witnessed disruptions due to climatic changes and global warming.
I chose to draw inspiration from the monsoon for the motifs in this garment collection. By weaving the essence of the season into each design, this collection aims to celebrate the monsoon's beauty while urging thoughtful reflection on the pressing environmental issues threatening its balance.
Cotton yarn in warp and weft, Plain weave
Silver Zari for stripes and extra weft
